There has been a fair bit of movement within the Marina this year in order to facilitate the long-needed repairs to O-Dock. There was an upgrade to address potential environmental concerns by moving the oil collection and a request to only leave used oil at the bin during office hours. And the breezeway by the washrooms has had lockers moved to increase access to the office area.
The pump out now has the same hours as the office in order to prevent non-members from accessing private areas at any time during the night. This is helping to close a security hole for livaboards on S-Dock. Security is intended to be further upgraded when the pump out is moved to a better location.
As far as livaboards go there is a loose plan to create a single safe and secure area for these families. There should be more to come on that soon. There is also an upgrade to the mailboxes underway but these things move with the same supply chain issues as everything else in our world these days.
There are plans being made to mark and actually enforce the channel thru the creek. The many vessels scattered thru the creek have been listed and contacted in order to facilitate safe passage for all. It has been a long time since we were able to use the channel without weaving through haphazardly anchored vessels. There may even be legal mooring buoys available in specific areas (off Charleston Park and Plaza of Nations perhaps?) that could be reserved in a similar method to campsites. We shall see.
